K1700 Tungsten Heavy Alloy
Elmet Technologies K1700 Tungsten Heavy Alloy (WHA) is a high-performance, non-magnetic material engineered for critical applications requiring exceptional strength, durability, and versatility. As a fully integrated, US-owned and operated global leader in refractory metals, we are proud to manufacture K1700 at our ISO-certified facility in Euclid, Ohio. With over 90 years of expertise and an unwavering commitment to quality, we deliver cutting-edge materials that drive innovation in the world’s most demanding industries.

Our K1700 is a Class 1 WHA specifically formulated with a composition of 90% tungsten, balanced with nickel and copper (W-Ni-Cu). This precise alloy composition makes K1700 non-magnetic, making it indispensable for sensitive electronic and shielding applications. By combining the extreme density of tungsten with the enhanced ductility and machinability from the nickel-copper binder, K1700 offers an exceptional balance of physical properties that provides engineers with the reliability they need to tackle their most demanding projects.
